Tariff Watch 2025: Taiwan and LawMate

Last week, KJB Security Products was made aware that new U.S. Tariffs were put in place on goods from Taiwan which affects LawMate Products. Fortunately this tariff is only resulting in an average 10% price increase. Unfortunately, it's businesses in the US - and ultimately consumers - that have to pay these new tariffs not the exporting country. We realize that multiple increases in one year is difficult for our dealers and we're doing the best we can to mitigate it. Right now this is not an across the board increase – we've tried to average it per product. There's still clouds on the horizon however, as LawMate itself may need to increase prices due to higher production costs. Increasing inventory ahead of anticipated increases and sticking to MAP pricing are the best ways to weather these shifting economics.
